Hong Kong’s Frank Yu leads the charge, as not only will he be competing for a strong result on the Guia Circuit, he is currently in the midst of a season long championship battle in the GT Asia Series.

Yu has held the championship lead for most of the season, but after a tough weekend in Zhu Hai last month, has seen the lead slip away.

He’ll be hungry to fight back and take the title back for Hong Kong in the final round of the GT Asia Series.

Says Yu, “I’m proud to fly the Hong Kong flag as we compete all around the world, but to have the opportunity to fight for the GT Asia title on our home turf at the Macau Grand Prix is truly special. I will do my best to earn a strong result and bring the GT Asia title to Hong Kong.”

Aston Martin factory driver, Stefan Muecke from Germany will be making his Macau debut behind the wheel of Craft’s brand new Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The #97 machine was only recently air shipped to Asia from the Aston Martin Racing factory, and is ready to go in the infamous Craft Racing green livery.

“I'm really looking forward to my first Macau race ever! It is an amazing and probably the most challenging track for a driver and I can't wait to do my first laps around it. Big thanks to Craft Racing AMR to give me the opportunity to drive in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, for me the best looking car of the whole GT3 field!” commented Muecke.

In the #96 Craft Racing AMR entry will be British driver John Gaw, whom is also the managing director of Aston Martin Racing. After a successful season competing in the British GT, John takes to the streets of Macau for the very first time and will do his utmost to turn his new experience into a successful one.

“To receive an entry is an honor especially in such an important year for the race and the 60th celebration. It will give me great pleasure to be on the grid with my friend's Frank Yu and Stefan Muecke all in Aston Martins, also in an important year for Aston being the 100th year celebration. About the race I am more than a little apprehensive but incredibly excited and I am sure my friends will give me great advice.”

The Macau GT Cup hits the Macau streets for free practice on Thursday, November 14th, followed by 2 qualifying sessions held from Friday to Saturday, and a warm-up Sunday morning shortly before the race at 9:20am.
