A 28-Strong Field For The Monza GT Open

Duel between two top title contenders, Lietz-Roda on the Autorlando Porsche and Fassler-Camathias on the Trottet Ferrari, main attraction of the first GT Open meeting shared with the Superleague Formula

The 6th round of the International GT Open event that will take place in Monza this weekend (2-4 October) will see one of the best entries so far this season, as GT Sport today released a 28-strong entry list. The traditional event in the legendary Autodromo Nazionale will be particularly attractive this year as the International GT Open and the Euro F3 Open share the meeting for the first time with the Superleague Formula, one of the top single-seater series in Europe.

Fifteen Super GT cars (GT2) and thirteen GTS (GT3) will enter the Monza GT Open. In addition to all regular competitors (among which Racing Team Edil Cris and Vittoria Competizioni are back after missing the last race), the Italian round will welcome again Ferrari F430 of Spain's PCR Sport, with Mayola-Carol, the other Ferrari GT2 of Easyrace, and among GTS teams, the Vipers of FR Motorsport and Scuderia Giudici, which also enters a Ferrari F430 GT3. A new team will make its debut in the series, First Motorsport from Belgium, with a Ferrari F430 GT3 driven by Christian Kelders and Daniel Desbruères.

With the attention focused on the close fight for the overall title between the Autorlando Porsche of Lietz-Roda and the Trottet Ferrari of Camathias-Fassler, and with three other teams as outsiders (Pilet-Narac on the IMSA Porsche, Gião-Couceiro on the second Autorlando Porsche and Ricci-Rugolo on the Advanced Engineering Ferrari), the show and the suspense will be guaranteed in the two races of this exciting week-end.
