ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (February 13, 1998) -- The United States Road Racing Championship has awarded Rolex 24 At Daytona driver points to the Labre Competition and RWS-BRUN Motorsport entries.

“Initally, these teams were not awarded points due to the irregular submission of their Driver Logs,” said USRRC Technical Manager Mitch Wright. “For television purposes, we requested that teams submit a copy of their driver rotation prior to the Rolex 24 At Daytona. This created confusion with certain teams as to whether or not they needed to submit a completed Driver Log at the conclusion of the event. The affected teams have now submitted their logs, and we have adjusted the points accordingly.”

The revision places drivers Andre Ahrle, Christophe Bouchut, Patrice Goueslard and Carl Rosenblad in a tie for fifth in the GT1 Drivers’ Point Standings, with 37 points, and drivers Gunther Blieninger, Hans-Jorg Hofer and Luca Riccitelli in a tie for 13th in the GT3 Drivers’ Point Standings, with 31 points.
