Brazilian GT: Podium results for Ebrahim Motors and Audi Brazil at Tarumã

Audi sees success in Brazilian GT series.

By Johan Laubscher

The Brazilian GT Championship was at Tarumã for round three this weekend. The Ebrahim Motors Audi R8 LMS ultra was at the event and continued to perform well this season.

Ebrahim Motors arrived at Tarumã after having taken their maiden win of the 2013 season last time out in race two at Curitiba. The Audi Brazil supported squad were very confident ahead of round three. Their #20 Audi R8 LMS ultra (2012 specification) is driven by Wagner Ebrahim and Fábio Ebrahim.

The Brazilian Audi team has proven to be very consistent all season long, and they continued that good form this weekend. They qualified on the front row for both races. Race one saw the Ebrahim pairing battling well and maintaining their position, bringing the R8 LMS ultra home for yet another second place finish and good points. The second race saw the Ebrahim Audi gaining the lead, but they were soon passed by the race winning Lamborghini. Ultimately the Ebrahim brothers brought their R8 LMS ultra across the line for another strong second place finish, despite a deflating tire. Both races were won by the #16 Blau Lamborghini Gallardo  driven by Allam Khodair and Marcelo Hahn.

It was another good Brazilian GT weekend for Ebrahim Motors and their Audi R8 LMS ultra. The results from  Tarumã can be seen HERE. The next round of the Brazilian GT will be at Interlagos in August.
