These are busy times for the CR Scuderia boys and girls. The GT team has just arrived back from Italy so it is a quick turnaround before this weekend's British GT event at Thruxton. The CRS drivers are all still right in the championship battle so, coupled with the fact that Thruxton is an incredibly quick circuit, the team is set for a weekend of fast and furious racing.
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.14: James Sutton & Michael Meadows
JAMES SUTTON: "Thruxton is a very hard track and can be pretty scary, which makes it kind of cool! There is no other circuit like it; it really does give you a big kick up the backside. You have to drive as hard as you can, grit your teeth, and hope it sticks. The biggest challenge for me is Goodwood as there are bumps from the mid-corner to the exit and you have to find a way through them or they make the car go light which is a horrible feeling. After that you go straight into Church which is the fastest corner on the track and the one that everyone else says is the hardest. Michael and I are still looking for our first win. I'm still convinced it will come but the Vipers and Lamborghinis are going to be hard to beat this weekend."
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.15: Michael Cullen & Paddy Shovlin
MICHAEL CULLEN: "We're hoping to bounce back after a couple of unsatisfactory results from our point of view. We're conscious that if the Vipers have the same advantage they had at Snetterton we're wasting our time. It's good to have Paddy back, because he pays half of the budget (!). In any event I anticipate we'll do better than the CRS FIA GT team have done recently. In fact, I've offered to stand in for Andrew (Kirkaldy) at the next race."
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.16: Luke Hines & Jeremy Metcalfe
JEREMY METCALFE: "We'll be aiming to do the same as always at the weekend, go out there and do the best job we possibly can. I'm really looking forward to the races; I think we'll be very strong. The high speed corners at Thruxton should definitely suit the Ferrari and I always feel very comfortable there, it's always good to compete at your home track. It's been a good season so far. Driving the Ferrari is fantastic, the team is doing a great job and I really am quite confident we should be strong at Thruxton. Both Luke and I would love to win again but a couple of podiums would be great too."
