DRM Racing drivers Adam Wilcox and Ni Amorim moved a step closer to sealing the British GT Cup Championship this weekend at Thruxton in Hampshire.

Qualifying for both races was held in the wet conditions with Ni Amorim managing 7th on the grid for race 1 with a time of 1:32.514 and Adam Wilcox posting a 1:28.152 to line up 6th for race 2.

The first of 2 races was held on Bank Holiday Monday, and Ni Amorim took the start, and quickly managed to get the DRM Racing Ferrari up to 3rd place by the time the pit window to change drivers opened, he pitted and Adam set about DRM's task of extending their championship lead and came home in 3rd place ahead of championship rivals Tech9 and the GKR Lotus.

For race 2 Adam started and had managed to work his way up to 3rd place when the first if two safety cars were deployed, shortly after the safety car was brought in the second was deployed and Adam came into pit to change drivers for Ni. Ni quickly re-joined the circuit in 4th place and managed to work his way up to 2nd place by the flag, extending the DRM Drivers championship lead to no 17 points with only two races remaining.
