The Balfe Motorsport Mosler MT900R will start from pole position for round ten of the British GT Championship at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium tomorrow.

The team chose to place reigning British GT Champion, Thomas Erdos, in the car for the entire qualifying session and the Brazilian delivered the team's sixth pole position of the year with a late flying lap on a drying track.

"I'm really pleased for the team to have clinched another pole position but tomorrow is the important day." Said Shaun Balfe, ahead of the marathon six hour race tomorrow afternoon.

Erdos was happy with the time and was confident that there was more in the car if it had been needed.

"We knew that the quick times were going to come at the end of the session and it was a waiting game for when to put on the right tyres." He said, "We timed it right and then I just had to pick the right time and place on the track as there was quite a lot of gravel and standing water on certain parts, so it was tricky. I also caught some slower cars on my quickest lap too, so with a clear run we could have been quicker." He added.

The three driver team of Balfe, Erdos and Jamie Derbyshire are now all set for the classic Spa 1000km race, which is scheduled to get underway at 12:50pm Belgian time tomorrow. (Sunday 31 August) With the race set to last for six hours or 144 laps.
