The Balfe Motorsport team of Shaun Balfe and Jamie Derbyshire will start the final round of the British GT Championship from pole position tomorrow after Balfe set a time of 1m 27.651s around the Kent circuit.
The Balfe team are locked in a three-way fight for the Championship and the front of the field starting slot is the best place to be when the lights go green for the 75-minute race tomorrow afternoon.
"It was a bit of a ragged lap, but I'll take it!" Said Shaun after qualifying, "We had not used brand new tyres until qualifying, so we kind of knew what sort of times the rest of the grid could do, but it was hard to judge exactly when the grip had come in, which is why I was a little bit untidy on sections of my quickest lap." He added.
Just five points separate the top three teams at the head of the points table. The final round of the British GT Championship is scheduled to start at 2:45pm tomorrow afternoon.
