Surrey race ace Aaron Scott (www.aaronscott.co.uk) switched teams for Round 10 of the British GT Championship at the famous Spa Francochamps circuit in Belgium for an epic 1000km race. Aaron was driving for Richard Thorne Motorsport in a Morgan Aero 8 with Neil Cunningham and Adam Sharpe.

The trio qualified a superb third in very wet conditions in Saturdays qualifying session.

Tricky weather conditions played a part in race strategy and all 3 drivers endured wet and dry weather conditions throughout their long stints. Adam started the race while Aaron drove the middle stint with Neil taking over the car through to the flag. The trio bought the car home in 3rd place to earn a superb podium finish in front of a 25,000 strong crowd. The result is thought to be the best international result for the Morgan marque since 1963.

Aaron Scott commented, "Morgan is a very famous name to drive for and to score a podium at such a fantastic circuit as Spa is fantastic. The whole team worked really hard and deserve this result. I really enjoyed the race and it was great to work with Adam, Neil and Richard Thorne's team to get this result. "

The next round of the British GT Championship takes place at Brands Hatch on September 28.
