Team Sahlen and Stanton Reunite for the Glen

The combination is one that left a mark on the Grand-Am Cup that had never been seen before. A total of six wins, one at Watkins Glen International, that brought Team Sahlen's 2004 effort the Drivers, Team, and Manufacturers championship. The force that dominated the 2004 Grand-Am Cup Grand Sport class is now back in action once again.

Team Sahlen and Craig Stanton will reunite for the Chemung Canal Trust 200 in their first race together for the 2005 Grand-Am Cup season. Team Sahlen will enter this weekend's race with their Porsche 996's with a line up fused by excitement.

Stanton will be joined in the Team Sahlen No. 43 driver's seat by Pat Flanagan. Flanagan is a highly accomplished driver who comes from a racing family. Flanagan has substantial experience in Porsches that will greatly complement the Team Sahlen machines.

Team Sahlen driver, Will Nonnamaker is looking forward to the reunion as well as the most recent addition, "It will be great to have Craig back in action in a Team Sahlen Porsche. He is a great guy and really knows our cars well. Pat will be a very welcome addition to our team. I am looking forward to see what he will be able to do in our cars," stated Nonnamaker.

This will be Flanagan's first race in the Team Sahlen Porsches. Combining his overall Porsche experience with Stanton's skill and knowledge of the Team Sahlen cars, the weekend will be a fun ride for the two co-drivers.

Joining Flanagan and Stanton in the black, and red Team Sahlen Porsches will be Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker in the No. 44 car. In the No. 41 car will be Joe and Wayne Nonnamaker.

Team Sahlen competed at the MAZDA Laguna Seca Raceway track with support from New Century Mortgage, HRPWorld.com, TheRaceSite.com, Hawk Performance, TheRaceMarket.com, Kempthorn Auto Mall, UNICHIP, Lamin-X, RaceTech, and Grassroots Motorsports.
