EVERYTHING READY AT GLEN FOR THE SIXTH ROUND OF THE SEASON

05/06/2008 - Everything is now ready on the legendary track of Watkins Glen for the 6h, sixth round of the Gran-Am Rolex Sports Car Series 2008. This is going to be one of the most demanding races of the championship, comparable, in terms of preparation work, to the 24 hours of Daytona.

In the occasion, the Italian Fabio Babini will be aside traditional Matteo Bobbi's crew-mate, Antonio Garcia, as happened in the first race of the season.

Weather forecasts schedule sunshine or just a few clouds but any chance of rain is definitely ruled out. After tomorrow's qualifying, the race will start on Saturday at 16.15 GMT (that is 11.15 local time).

Matteo Bobbi:
"A six hours presents inevitably more risks of technical failures or accidents than a traditional race. The team prepared very accurately the car in such a way to minimize the chances of failures; the first objective is obviously to get the chequered flag, perhaps close to important positions".
