Kelleners Qualifies Seventh at the Glen In Kodak EasyShare DORAN JE4 Pontiac For Friday Night's CompUSA 200 Rolex Race

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y., Aug. 11 - Ralf Kelleners of Dusseldorf, Germany qualified seventh Thursday afternoon at Watkins Glen International for Friday's CompUSA 200 Rolex series race. He will share the Bell Motorsports/Feeds the Need Racing Kodak EasyShare DORAN JE4 Pontiac No. 54 with Terry Borcheller of Gainesville, Ga. in Friday night's 200-mile/82-lap/two-hour race on the Glen's 2.45-mile, 11-turn short course.

Kelleners' fastest lap in the qualifying session was clocked in 1:09.323 for an average speed of 127.231 mph. That was faster than the series' previous track record in qualifying for the short course, which was broken Thursday by polesitter Fabrizio Gollin in another DORAN JE4.

The Bell Motorsports/Feeds the Need Racing team won this race in 2003 while the pole-winning team won this race last year.

"We had a good set-up here at the Glen in June, but we had bad luck in the race," Kelleners said after qualifications Thursday. "Right now we're trying to find that wonderful set-up that we had. Position seven is still good though."

Friday's schedule shows an autograph session at 2:30 p.m. before the race starts at 6 p.m., right after NASCAR Busch series and NEXTEL Cup practice. Twenty-three Daytona Prototypes and 24 GT cars are entered.

Fans that are unable to make it to the track can watch the race on a same-day, tape-delayed basis when it airs on SPEED at 10 p.m. Eastern time Friday night.
