Richard Spenard, #19 Newtech Motorsports Porsche 911 Turbo -- Pole winner for SGS class -- It was a decent lap. We have to do our qualifying very quickly cause the tire only last at its best for 3 or 4 laps. When dealing with lapped traffic, you have to be intelligent, think, and be trusting of the other drivers.
Stu Hayner, #32 Phoenix American Motorsports Pontiac Firebird -- Pole winner in GS class -- Those Vipers just seem to be going and going. We just have to keep the momentum up. Lance (Stewart) was in front of me the entire time, and I have to say that will be a great battle. His Audi was working great, so I'm surprised we're on the pole.
Chuck Goldsborough, #9 Plexus 99 GS400 - Pole Winner in ST class - I guess my fellow pole sitting teammates didn't see me. Under braking in turn one, I made a dive under him and I got a little tag in the left fender. It off centered me from the turn in the corner. It was surprising. This is one of my favorite tracks and I like it so we'll see what we can do with it tomorrow. We had handling problems all weekend and we finally got it to where we could run with it.
Jocelyn Herbert, #6 Hyundai Tiburon - Pole Winner C2K class - We didn't push it, but we tried to. We just really tried to go out there and make a fast lap. We hoped were fast enough, and now we can go out and see what happens in the race tomorrow.
