LEBANON, Ohio, June 11 - Grand American Rolex Series point leader Doran-Lista Racing of Lebanon, Ohio will compete on two of America's premier tracks in the new few weeks: Watkins Glen and Daytona.

First it's off to Watkins Glen, N.Y. for the Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International on June 21-23, which is part of the Sports Car Grand Prix at the Glen.

The second race is the Jani-King Paul Revere 250 at Daytona International Raceway in Daytona Beach, Fla., a 250-mile/three-hour enduro that will begin at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, immediately following Bud Pole Qualifying for the Pepsi 400 NASCAR Winston Cup race on July 6.

In the first four of 10 races on the 2002 Rolex Sports Car Series schedule, Doran-Lista Racing has three poles, three victories and one second-place finish.

Hot rookie Fredy Lienhard Jr. is scheduled to join sports car legends Mauro Bald and Didier Theys in the driver rotations for the Six Hours of the Glen on the United States' most famous road course.

Then Fredy Lienhard Sr. and Theys are scheduled to mimic the midnight ride of Paul Revere, albeit with quite a bit more horsepower than the famous Colonial patriot had on April 18, 1775 when he sounded the alarm that the British were coming.

Doran-Lista Racing has had great success at both tracks.

Last year the team won the six-hour race at the Glen in a Ferrari with Baldi, Lienhard Sr. and Theys doing the driving. They finished 178 laps in the six-hour time span, one more than the second-place Dyson team.

This Feb. 3 team manager Kevin Doran posted his fourth Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona victory as a team manager. Baldi, Lienhard Sr., Theys and Max Papis were behind the wheel of the Doran-Lista Dallara Judd #27 that day.

Although anything can happen in racing, the team is optimistic for good finishes at both tracks.

"Our chances to defend last year's victory at the Glen with the Dallara should be good, especially because aerodynamics are very important at that track and the Dallara has a good aero package," Baldi noted. "The fact that the race will last six hours is a little against us because we have less than a year's worth of experience with this chassis, but we were able to make the car last for 24 hours for our victory at Daytona in February. Hopefully we'll have another great race at the Glen.

"I personally love the Glen the most, but Daytona is always a very exciting track to race at too," Baldi continued. "We are used to long-distance races at Daytona, but it's also good for sprint events, which I personally like more.

"I think racing together with NASCAR is a good way to gain more exposure to our series and our type of racing, and the fact that the race will be at night is a new element of interest for all the fans. The darkness won't be a problem since the track is well lighted, and the fact that the Paul Revere 250 is a sprint race should be an advantage for us."

This year's Six Hours of the Glen is scheduled to be televised on a tape-delayed basis on Speed Channel from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 29, and then again from 12:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. ET on June 30.

The Jani-King Paul Revere 250 will be shown on the same network from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on July 6.

The Doran-Lista team currently leads Dyson Racing in the point standings, 137 to 120, with Intersport Racing third with 94 points.

Theys, who is competing at the 24 Hours of LeMans in France this weekend with another team, leads the driver standings in the top Grand Am class, Sports Racing Prototype, with 137 points to Chris Dyson's 114 and James Weaver's 112. Baldi is sixth; Lienhard Jr. is seventh and Lienhard Sr. is 13th.
