VIR This Weekend!

As we alluded to on Sunday, Randy has some exciting developments to share. First, Randy will be joining Stevenson Motorsports for a second time this season at Virginia International Raceway for the Rolex Sports Car Series "Bosch Engineering 250 at VIR" this coming weekend! As you may remember, Stevenson Motorsports is the team that Randy had the pleasure to drive for at the Daytona 24 hour race in January. For what is currently a one time deal, Randy will be co-driving with James Gue in the #97 Corvette in the GT category.

"I am very pleased to be back with Stevenson Motorsports. They are a first class effort. This car was recently tested at Homestead-Miami Speedway and we are very encouraged with its performance. This will be my first time racing with James Gue. He is a young talent and I am looking forward to working with him. I would like to thank Johnny and Susan Stevenson for giving me this opportunity."

The "Bosch Engineering 250 at VIR" will start at 1:00 PM EST on Sunday, April 27 and will be 250 mi or 2:45 long. The Rolex GT qualifying session will take place Saturday between 3:30-3:45. The race will air on SPEED May 3 at 12:00 PM EST. It is sure to be an exciting event.

Our other exciting news is that Randy has been chosen to participate in Motor Trend Magazine's annual feature article on the world's best handling cars. Randy will serve as the designated pro and will test various cars for their handling characteristics. The test sessions will take place at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this June and will be featured in a future issue.

"This is a terrific opportunity for a car enthusiast like myself. I enjoy experiencing the different personalities of each machine. Each has its own characteristics, like horses or people even, although more consistent <grin>."

Thanks for following friends!
