THE NO.19 PLAYBOY/UNIDEN/PALMS MACHINE SCORES TOP-FIVE FINISH AT VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY 400

ALTON, VA (April 23, 2006) -- After starting from the pole position in his first race with the Mooresville, NC -- based team, Guy Cosmo filling in for the injured Memo Gidley kept the No.19 Playboy/Uniden/Palms sponsored machine up towards the front his entire stint.

"At the start of the race all I wanted to do was keep the car in the lead and hand it over to Michael (McDowell) as close to the front as possible," said Guy Cosmo. "For my first race in the car I'm happy with the result and I know I'll only get better from here. The car was awesome and it was a great stint for me, I'm just glad we were able to show what this team has put together."

Michael McDowell, who gave Playboy their first Daytona Prototype victory during yesterday's qualifying race, climbed behind the wheel on lap 30. Continuing the team's charge to the front, McDowell crossed the finish line in the fourth position giving the team their second top-five finish of the weekend.

"That was a pretty good run for us today," said McDowell. "Guy did a great job and held his own. This was a lot to ask of someone, to get in the car without much practice and than start from the pole but he rose to the challenge. The car was great on the wet but we just missed a bit on the dry set-up. We did the best we could and were able to score another top-five finish for the Playboy/Uniden/ Palms machine."

The team will next compete in the U.S. Sports Car Invitational at the beautiful Laguna Seca Raceway on Sunday, May 7th.
