TELMEX TEAM EARNS POLE POSITION FOR CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN IN UTAH
QUALIFYING RESULTS: Scott Pruett put the no.01 TELMEX Lexus-Riley on the pole for the final race of the 2007 Rolex Grand Am Series season with a lap time of 2:40.584 seconds / 100.568 mph. It is the first pole of the year for Pruett, the TELMEX Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates team and Lexus, and second consecutive at the Sunchaser 1000. It is Pruett's 10th career Daytona Prototype pole position and the team's 20th. Pruett will lead the Rolex Series field to the green flag before handing the car to teammates Memo Rojas and Salvador Duran.
Michael Valiante qualified the no.19 No.19 Z-Line Lexus-Riley 12th on the starting grid after posting a lap time of 2:42.373 second / 99.460 mph. He will pair up with Dane Cameron for Saturday's 1000k endurance race.
