DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Two dozen of some of the most respected companies in the automotive and motorsports industries have posted more than $550,000 in Corporate Contingency Sponsorship for the Grand American Road Racing Association's inaugural season.

The Corporate Sponsorship Contingency and Special Awards program bonus money will be paid directly to competitors at race events and in the year-end Grand-Am points fund.

"Any motorsports program is only successful if you create an environment in which sponsors and competitors alike can find a viable arena in which to do business," said Grand-Am Director of Marketing Bruce Mosley. "The strong support we have received for the Corporate Sponsorship Contingency and Special Awards program indicates that we are definitely on the right track in establishing this environment in Grand-Am. We are extremely pleased and grateful to our corporate partners for this support, and I believe I can speak for our competitors in passing on their thanks as well."

In addition to the Corporate Membership and Contingency Special Award Program, Grand-Am also announced that a points fund program for the Grand-Am team owners' championships will be announced in the near future.

The complete list of organizations in the Grand American Road Racing Association's Corporate Membership and Contingency Special Awards Program includes: Air Products; Bosch; BSR Products; Carlson Marketing Group; Crawford Race Cars; Dynamic Suspensions; Fast Color Images; General Motors; Goodyear; Hella; Intercomp Scales, Jerry Woods Enterprises; Mazda; Microphonics; PI Research; Pirelli; Performance Marketing Group; Porsche North America; Protrac; Racing Radios; Riley & Scott; Stand 21; Tosco 76 and Yokohama/Precision Service.
