ROB FINLAY AND MICHAEL VALIANTE GEARED UP FOR TOMORROW'S RUNNING OF THE INFINEON 250

Qualifying for tomorrow afternoon's running of the Infineon 250 took place earlier today and the No. 5 Make-A-Wish/Z-Line Designs Daytona Prototype driven by Rob Finlay and Michael Valiante will start from row number nine. The Finlay Motorsports team rolled off the truck in good shape and continued to run quick lap times during the first day of practice, allowing for Michael Valiante to finish the day second quick. The team shifted gears on day two and began to prepare the car for qualifying.

Finlay and Valiante split the two practice sessions, with Valiante running the morning session and Finlay sliding behind the wheel during the second session. When it came time for qualifying, Finlay pulled on his helmets, put on his gloves and strapped in for the scheduled 15 minute qualifying session. Qualifying went according to plan and Finlay pulled off his quick time of the week with a lap at 1:32.430 during the final minutes of the session.

"The weeks been going pretty smooth so far," said Rob Finlay. "I've been able to go out every session and improve my time so I'm satisfied with that, you always want to go quicker but I think we've got a good car for the race and that's what matters."

With twelve races behind them, the Mooresville, North Carolina -- based team is still looking for a podium finish and tomorrow could be the day.

"The car is pretty good," said Michael Valiante. "We've been able to improve every session and Rob did a great job qualifying."
