Owen Trinkler and his RSR Motorsports team have had their share of ups and downs this season. The latest round at Montreal's' Trois Rivieres street circuit proved no different. Trinkler and his team mate Jade Buford were running at the front in the practices before Owen qualified the #196 RSR Motorsports Mini Cooper S in pole position to start the ST Class race of the 2009 Koni Sports Car Challenge Series.

Trinkler was full on at the drop of the green flag to start the race and would lead the next 39 laps of the race. Owen would come into the pits to turn his car over to co-driver Jade Buford with an excess of 30 second lead. An issue in pit lane would cause a loss of the lead, sending Buford out at the tail end of the lead lap in 14th position. Jade would race hard to make up time to finish in 11th finishing position.

The RSR Motorsports team has shown a great deal of progress in the second half of the 2009 season, and is looking to put it all together for a strong finish in the final two rounds, starting this coming weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. Trinkler states; "I know the Miller circuit, this dedicated and hard working team, and the Mini Cooper S allow Jade and I to have a great deal of confidence going into this weekend".

The Miller Motorsports Park round of the 2009 season will drop the green flag at 6:00 pm local time on Friday, September 18th, 2009. The broadcast will be tape delayed to air on October 3rd, 2009 at 1:30pm EST.
