Travis Walker steps up to GS competition with Blackforest Motorsports

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO Travis Walker is making a name for himself in the Koni Challenge Series. In fact, his speed and personality have landed him one of the most coveted seats in Koni Challenge competition that being with Blackforest Motorsports and their No. 4 USG Sheetrock/Ramset Tools Ford Mustang FR500C

Walker is set to join Blackforest for the next round in Laguna Seca on May 18, where he will be reunited with Valerie Limoges his teammate from 2005 in the FAQ series.

"This is the opportunity I have been working toward and looking for," said Walker. "Tom (Nastasi) approached me and I am really excited about racing with Blackforest to reach my full potential on and off the track. It will be a bit of a learning curve, going from a front wheel drive car to a rear-wheel drive car that has twice the power, but I am excited about making the step up. I know it might take a little bit of time to develop but I know I'll be able to show my natural speed in the Mustang."

Nastasi is happy that Walker has joined the Blackforest Motorsports team. "I am very happy to have signed Travis Walker to a two year deal with Blackforest," Nastasi said. "He is very good I tried to get the deal done at the start of the year. I had to wait a little longer, but I am very happy he is with us now and will be teamed with Valerie (Limoges) for the rest of the year."

For Walker, it is the continuation of an already impressive sportscar career that is definitely on the upswing. He is ready for the challenges of GS competition, and he now drives for one of the best teams in the series.
