GRAND-AM GROWS CONTINENTAL TIRE PACESETTER PROGRAM FOR 2010

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 27, 2010) - As the build-up continues for the start of the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season with the Fresh From Florida 200 at Daytona International Speedway on Jan. 29, the excitement grew even further on Friday as the series announced new details surrounding the 2010 Continental Tire Pacesetter Program.

Rewarding both consistency and speed, the Continental Tire Pacesetter Program provides both in-season and post-championship cash rewards for Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge team owners in both the Street Tuner (ST) and Grand Sport (GS) classes. The top seven teams in the 2009 ST and GS class team championship standings that participated in every 2009 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge event are eligible for the program, and will begin to receive benefits starting at the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway, which will also mark the competition debut for Continental Tires in GRAND-AM competition.

With more than 70 cars entered for the combined-class Fresh From Florida 200, the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge paddock has established itself as a fan and team favorite, and the Continental Tire Pacesetter Program aims to reward teams for their participation and encourage the continued growth of the category.

With GRAND-AM having recently announced an increased presence on SPEED Channel and a 2010 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge SPEED Channel television package that will feature eight of the 10 races broadcast on a tape-delay basis, the Continental Tire Pacesetter Program will also target the continued growth of at-track attendance and fan involvement as teams and drivers participate in autograph sessions, in-market promotions and other on-event fan interactive programs.

"We can't wait to get the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season started next week and kick of our new partnership with Continental Tire at Daytona," said Kevin Hindson, GRAND-AM Vice President, Marketing and Communications. "We are proud to have Continental Tire partner with the series as both a sponsor and supplier, and we welcome the support that the Continental Tire Pacesetter Program provides for our teams as we bring the benefits of our partnership to the paddock and to our fans."

The Continental Tire Pacesetter Program isn't only about prizes, as the teams will also enjoy the opportunity to get primary choice in pit box selections, transporter parking during race meetings, and front of the line tech inspection opportunities.

The two-and-a-half hour Fresh From Florida 200 is slated for a 1:45 p.m. ET green flag this Friday.
