Orison Marketing - Planet Earth Motorsports looks toward repeat success on Earth Day Weekend.

North Canton, OH -- (April, 12 2002) Last season, ORISON Marketing - Planet Earth Motorsports visited Phoenix International Raceway for the Grand-Am Cup event during the worldwide EARTH DAY celebration weekend. The team came away from the event with successes on and off the track.

During the race weekend, the team had a chance to educate many of the racers and fans about EARTH DAY and what they can do to make a difference in their everyday lives for the WORLD.

The race itself also proved to be a success, with the team capturing both 1st and 3rd place in the Sports / Touring II class.

This year the team is campaigning their #43 Corvette that was last seen at Phoenix in 2000. Drivers for the car will be Joe Nonnamaker and Shane Lewis.

At the most recent Grand Am Cup event at California Speedway, the team was leading the race with 25 minutes to go, when a power failure forced the #43 Corvette back to 9th place.

"We are very excited about going to Phoenix," stated Crew Chief Mike Thomas. "The effort Shane has put into helping develop this Corvette this year has been an advantage for the team. With Shane's help we have been able to build upon the package that team founder Bill Pate and the team had developed in the 2000 and 2001 season."

Further support for the Corvette effort include EVAPO-RUST, GOJO, Miracle Sweep, STOP-TECH, TheRaceSite.com, US Filter.

The Grand-Am Cup race will air on the Speed Channel on Saturday - May 4th at 5:00 PM.
