(PHOENIX, AZ-May 11, 2006) After what could be considered a mixed bag weekend at Laguna Seca, Mikel Miller is looking forward to a strong showing at the Avondale Mazda 200 at Phoenix International Raceway. The track is known for being hot and low on grip, but last year Mikel and team mate Tim Traver guided their Simplenet.com Porsche to a 13th place finish. Considering the brutal heat of a September visit to the track, and the fact that the pair were still getting acquainted with their new BGB Motorsports crew and car, it was a solid result.

This year, Mikel and Tim are riding into town 3rd in team points, looking not only to improve that position, but also to get to the top step of the podium. Mikel and Tim have shown the determination and consistency to finish races, bringing home the car in one piece, and ahead of their closest competitors.

Mikel, still smarting after being hit by another twice in the same turn toward the end of the Laguna Seca race, is determined to get far enough ahead of the field to avoid any chance of a repeat performance in Phoenix.

Mikel and Tim will have only a 30 minute practice prior to qualifying on Thursday, so time will be of the essence to get the car set up for a track totally different from Laguna, requiring a totally different setup and strategy. Mikel feels that he and Tim will be able to meet the challenge, as will their BGB Motorsports crew.
