Team Sahlen Heads to Mosport for Cup Competition

North Canton, Ohio - Team Sahlen is headed off to Bowmanville, Ontario for the Grand Am Cup race at Mosport International Raceway. Only days after returning from the Chemung Canal Trust 200 at Watkins Glen International, the Grand Sport (GS) class team heads for another event.

Mosport International Raceway is one of the most difficult courses on the Grand-Am Cup circuit. High speed, difficult turns, and changing elevations create a challenge for drivers and crew chiefs alike in creating a competitive setup. The team has took a podium finish at the course in 2003 but in 2004, they did not compete there.

"You love it and then you hate it," said Team Sahlen driver, Wayne Nonnamaker. "You love it because it's a thrill and you hate it because it's a thrill. During the first practice at Mosport I always have to remind myself not to grip the steering wheel quite so tight," Nonnamaker added.

Wayne Nonnamaker will be joined in a Team Sahlen car by his father, Joe. In addition, Joe Sahlen will be joined by Will Nonnamaker. All drivers competed in Chemung Canal Trust 200 last weekend and come prepared and focused for this weekend's Mosport 200.

Team Sahlen will compete at Mosport with support from HRPWorld.com, TheRaceSite.com, Hawk Performance, TheRaceMarket.com, Kempthorn Auto Mall, UNICHIP, Lamin-X, RaceTech, and Grassroots Motorsports.
