MULTIMATIC MOTORSPORTS TARGETS A TROUBLEFREE RUN AT MID-OHIO

Ontario (June 16, 2010) - The Multimatic Motorsports Ford Mustang Boss 302R squad is hoping it has rid itself of the electrical gremlins that have plagued the team recently as it heads to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the Emco Gears Classic (June 18-19).

Multimatic Motorsports in cooperation with Ford Racing engineers and test drivers have been hard at work over the past week pounding the Boss 302R around Ford's Michigan Proving Grounds in Romeo, MI to diagnose and resolve the "soft engine" issues that have hit its cars lately.

While "new car" problems are an expected part of a developmental program, the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge team is optimistic that the on-going test and development efforts will turn the Boss 302R's qualifying pace into favorable race results.

"Front row" Joe Foster has been a star for Multimatic Motorsports in qualifying this season, recording five front row starts including two pole positions.

The tight Mid-Ohio 2.258-mile, 13-turn permanent road course again promises to be a challenging race for all with more than 60 cars entered in the event.

Teams will get to turn their first official practice laps on June 18 during the first of two 45-minute practice sessions starting at 9:10 a.m. ET. The second practice of the day takes place at 1:15 p.m. ET with GS qualifying going green at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Round 7 on the 2010 schedule will see the green flag at 1:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 19. The race will be broadcast tape-delayed on SPEEDTV on June 26 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Multimatic Motorsports Quoteboard:

Joe Foster, #15 Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"Mid-Ohio is a very technical track and works best with a car that is good under braking and is very nimble. I think we all know that the best thing about the Boss 302R is its straight-line speed so it might be a bit of a challenge.

"But then again we thought that about Lime Rock as well and we qualified on the front row and led a good part of the race. So I guess you never know until you get there.

"I think it's a great track, it's one of the classic American permanent road courses and so it's important that the series goes there. There's a good road racing fan base in Ohio and they are knowledgeable on what we do. I always enjoy racing there."

Scott Maxwell, #15 Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"I think speed wise we should be quite competitive, but we need to be able to make it through the entire race to end up with a good result. The team and the Ford Racing guys have been hard at work trying to resolve the issues we've had and I'm confident after the testing we did last week.

"I like the Mid-Ohio track, it's a tight, uniquely challenging, hilly place and it's definitely a fun track."

Frankie Montecalvo, #16 Bayshore Recycling Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"Mid-Ohio is a great track, really fun to drive. It's a slippery track in the rain so I am hoping for good weather.

"There are some tight corners so it will make it interesting with all the traffic out there. It should be a good race."

Gunnar Jeannette, #16 Bayshore Recycling Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"Hopefully our car will be better for this race. We've been fighting some issues lately and I know the team and Ford Racing have been working hard to sort it out, which I'm sure they have.

"I really like the track. There is a ton of elevation changes and good fun flowing corners, which are very enjoyable to drive. So I am looking forward to a good weekend."
