Coming off a hard fought event at New Jersey, the RSR Motorsports team decided to skip the round of the Koni Challenge Series that took place last weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to focus their efforts towards this weekends' event at Lime Rock Park. The back-to-back events would have been hard enough, but the team feels the pressure to put on the best show possible this weekend as it's their home track with their shop just a short trip away in Oxford, Connecticut.

The team also is switching things up in the driving lineup this weekend, hoping to find that winning chemistry that is so important in endurance racing. Trinkler states; "It's nice to be back in the #196 Cruise America Mini Cooper S this weekend with co-driver Jade Buford. This is the same track our car made its debut last season, and we were the fastest ST Class car on track all weekend. We're working towards those same results again this year in front of our home crowd!"

Although the team was at home during the last round getting ready for this event, Owen kept himself busy by working on his conditioning in an endurance cycling event in Knoxville, Tennessee where he would come home in 6th position. "Finishing an event like that is a true test of persons' stamina and will power, so to cross the line in 6th was a very rewarding experience" Owen continues, "Now I'm looking forward to besting that with a top-5 this coming weekend".

The RSR Motorsports team will be fielding a stacked house this weekend with all three of the teams' Mini Cooper S's looking to lead the grid across the line come race day. Knowing they were fast at Lime Rock Park just one season ago, they feel the car along with the new track surface are perfectly suited for the Mini. "The new track configuration looks tricky on the map, and should be really fast on that new surface, we're really looking forward to seeing what we can do when we put those cars through the paces come this weekend. The team as a whole is very confident for a positive result for all three team entries this weekend" states Trinkler.
