Double duty for Gue in Laguna Seca

Alpharetta, GA -- James Gue will be competing this weekend, May 17th-20th, at the 2.238 mile road course in Laguna Seca California. It will be a busy weekend for Gue as he will be competing in both the Rolex GT race as well as the Koni Challenge GS race. For the 2 ½ hour Koni Challenge race Gue will be running with JBS Motorsports in the #37 Ford FR500C Mustang, co-driving with Bret Seafuse. In the 2 ½ hour Rolex GT race Gue will be returning to the Racers Edge team in the #30 Pontiac GXP.R. However for this race Gue's co-driver will be Drew Staveley, who is a front runner in the Mazda MX-5 Cup Series.

Gue is not running in the points in GT, having missed several events this year. However, this will be the 3rd Rolex event that Gue will have competed in this season. Gue commented: "I'm very excited about this weekend; we showed a lot of promise a few weeks ago in VIR, running as high as 5th until a loose wheel on the last pit stop relegated us back to 19th. I think Laguna will suit the Pontiac well."

Heading into the 4th round of the Koni Challenge Series, Gue and Seafuse are looking to improve on their current 3rd place in points. Gue commented: "This will be an interesting weekend; Laguna has always been a tough place for the Mustang, especially on the brakes. We just got word from Grand-Am that all Mustangs will need to add an extra 75lbs in weight penalty for this weekend which certainly won't help. I'm just hoping to come away with solid points until we get back to the tracks that suit the Mustang."

The Koni Challenge race will not be televised, however the Rolex GT race will be shown tape delayed on May 26th 2007, at 8pm on the Speed Channel.
