Bryan Ortiz Ready to Strike Back at Lime Rock
Lakeville, CT:- After a challenging start to the season at Daytona, where mechanical gremlins kept the #97 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 Coupe from showing its true form, Bryan Ortiz looks to bounce back at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT. Both Bryan and the rest of the team, are very excited about their chances as they aim to take the top spot in the 35-car Grand Sport field during this weekend's round of the Grand Am KONI Challenge series.
"I am very excited for this weekend, is Turner's home track and there are going to be a lot of fans." Says Ortiz. "Turner has dominated over the last years in this track and hopefully if everything goes as they should that should not change." Indeed, the combination of a top-flight, experienced team and a car which just begs to be driven on tracks like Lime Rock, should prove to be the combination that will bring home victory for Ortiz and his co-driver Don Salama from nearby Somerville, Mass.
Bryan certainly has a lot of confidence in his teammate as well as they head into the Memorial Day race. "With the experience of Don Salama and the whole team behind me, it should be an exciting weekend to start building momentum for the championship!"
The 200-mile race takes place at 9:45pm EST on Monday, May 26, 2008.
