Grand American Champions Weekend presented by Brumos Porsche Oct. 31-Nov. 2

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (September 25, 2003) -- Brumos Porsche will become the presenting sponsor of the October 31-November 2 sports car weekend at the "World Center of Racing," Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig announced today.

The Grand American Champions Weekend presented by Brumos Porsche will feature both the new and greatest sports cars from the Grand American Road Racing Association as well as the legendary machines from Historic Sportscar Racing on the twist and turns of Daytona International Speedway's 3.56-mile road course.

"We're delighted that Brumos Porsche has come aboard as the presenting sponsor of our sports car weekend," Braig said. "Brumos Porsche's involvement in this unique weekend of sports car racing will enhance the fans' motorsports experience at this historic race track."

Brumos Porsche, based in Jacksonville, Fla., is one of the largest Porsche dealers in America. Snodgrass' Brumos Racing, which has owned or sponsored six overall Rolex 24 At Daytona titles, also fields two Daytona Prototype entries in the Grand American Road Racing Association's Rolex Sports Car Series.

The way to catch every lap of sports car excitement during the Grand American Champions Weekend presented by Brumos Porsche is with the Speedway' s three-day Advance Super Ticket, which provides access to the infield, paddock and garage as well as free parking.

The Advance Super Ticket, which costs $60 and must be purchased by 6 p.m. on October 31, is available by calling the Daytona International Speedway ticket office at (386) 253-RACE or by logging onto www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com.

Individual day tickets will only be available for purchase at the gate during the event. Tickets to Friday's events, featuring the Grand-Am Cup Series three-hour season finale, will be $15. Admission to Saturday's Rolex Sports Car Series finale and HSR races will be $20. Tickets to Sunday's full day of historic racing will be $25. Parking will be free on Friday and Saturday and cost $5 on Sunday to anyone not holding an Advance Super Ticket.

The Grand American Champions Weekend presented by Brumos Porsche will be broadcast on SPEED Channel. The Rolex Series race will be live on SPEED, Sunday, November 2, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., and the Grand-Am Cup Series race will be tape delayed.
