Dark Dog Grand-Am Cup quotes.

Scott Maxwell, co-driver, No. 76 Doncaster Racing Porsche Porsche GT3, overall race winner, won Grand Sport I driver and team championship

"I'm surprised to be honest. There were a races in the middle of the season that I thought we should have won and after not winning Mont-Tremblant or Mosport, I thought we were out of luck. But today everything went perfectly and the car was fantastic and I guess the Corvette had a little bit of trouble in the middle of the race and that's all we needed. We just needed one break and we got it."

Ian James, co-driver, Sport Touring I winners, No. 0 IS300 Team Lexus

"This is my first time I've won a pro race at Daytona. It means a lot. I hope this is a good omen for Sunday's race. (James is driving the No. 6 Miracle Motorsports Riley & Scott)

Terry Borcheller, co-driver, Sport Touring I winners, No. 0 IS300 Team Lexus

"It was tight with our team car. It was tight with the 00 car. It was a great race right down to the finish. It was textbook perfect for our Lexus team. They needed the 0 car to win and the 2 car need to finish ahead of the BMW so we could get the driver championship and the team championship. You couldn't write it any better."

Jean-Francois Dumoulin, Sport Touring I driver championship, No. 2 IS300 Team Lexus

"We did really well. Andy (Lally) and I had great teamwork and the car was great. We had a lot of fun out there. It was a good fight, me with Pete Halsmer at the start and Andy with Terry at the end. The team also won the ST I championship so it was a great weekend for me. I would have like to win a race but it feels great to win the driver championship. We've been up there, been leading a race and almost won some races but we were always there, the car was great."

Chuck Goldsborough, Team Lexus No. 0 Lexus IS300, team owner on winning the ST I team championship

"We never imagined we would do this and this has been a very hard year with a lot of incredible teams that we dueled against. Considering up until this race we had never won a race this year. We had been on the podium many times but we have never won a race and J.F. won the driver championship without winning a race. I'm happy to give this championship to Lexus and all of the crew because we have a full volunteer crew and they worked off their tails for this."

Shane Lewis, co-driver, Grand Sport II winners, No. 65 SpeedSource Porsche 911

"We didn't have outright speed. We just had a good solid car. We had a big fire in our first pit stop. I thought it was all over for us. One of the return hoses for the fuel caught on fire. It was pretty spectacular. I thought our night was over with. But the crew got the car going again. We just got back on our pace and we made no mistakes. My co-driver was awesome. Every single lap, I was totally confident in the car.

David Shep, co-driver, Grand Sport II winners, No. 65 SpeedSource Porsche 911

"I just held my breath. I wasn't going to get out of the car for anything. I just dropped my visor and held my breath. What I wasn't able to do fast enough was turn off the fan on the ventilation system. It was blowing right on my face. But as soon as we got the car moving, it cleared out and it was fine. It was the crew that got a lot of fire extinguisher in their faces. They had to step back and take a breather and then go back at it again once it cleared. There was no way I was going to get out of that car. We lost probably 30 to 40 seconds, but we made it up back on the track and the ensuing pit stops were perfect."

Wayne Nonnamaker, co-driver, Sport Touring II winners, No. 41 King Motorsports Acura Integra

"The day started out not too good. In qualifying, I made a mistake and we lost a motor. The crew did an amazing job and changed the motor in four hours. The win goes to the crew as much as anything. The car ran throughout the whole race. I can't say enough about the team. It was great."
