Racing Signs Terry Borcheller For 2004 Season

North Canton, OH -- It was announced today that 2003 Daytona Prototype Champion Terry Borcheller will team with John Krieg in one of Racing's Porsches from the stables of Phoenix ProMotions.

Last season, Phoenix won the 2003 Grand Sports Team, Driver, and Manufacturer Championships under the ORISON Marketing - Planet Earth Motorsports campaign. The 2003 was an amazing year for Terry as well, winning the inaugural Grand American Rolex Daytona Prototype Championship and finishing second in the Grand-Am Cup GSII class.

John Krieg competed in the Ferrari Challenge, having great success in his rookie season in the 2003 series.

"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" Borcheller grinned. "John Krieg reminds me a lot of Forest [Barber, Borcheller's 2003 co-driver] when he first came into the Grand-Am Cup. Forest has had an immense amount of success and has been very happy with the progress. I want to try to duplicate that with John, so we looked at a lot of different options and a lot of teams. The Nonnamakers came out on top and we're real happy to be running with them. If anybody can give us a shot at the championship, they can. They've proved that." Racing will field three Porsches in the Grand-Am Cup Grand Sports Class. As previously announced, the team has re-signed 2003 Driver Champion Joe Nonnamaker. Joe will co-drive with his three time champion son. Drivers for the third entry will be announced soon.

"This announcement is very exciting for everyone here at Racing," states Crew Chief Mike Thomas. "Being able to have three competitive entries requires you have great partners. The 2004 campaign is a reality due to the amazing support from, DENSO, HAWK Brake, Kempthorn Auto Mall, K&N Performance Filters, Red Line Oil, SpeedSource. This announcement will give us increased momentum in our quest to repeat our triple crown." Racing
