Acura claims fourteenth and fifteenth Sports Car Manufacturer's Championships.

North Canton, OH -- For the fifteenth time since 1986, Acura has won a Sports Car Manufacturer's Championship. At the recent Mont Tremblant Grand-Am Cup event, Acura secured their fourteenth Championship when Wayne and Will Nonnamaker scored a victory in the Grand Am Cup Sports Touring II class at Mont Tremblant in the HRPWorld.com Integra LS. The ST II title is the second in a row for Acura.

Their fifteenth title came at last weekend's Speed World Challenge Final Event held at Virginia. Acura secured the Touring Class Manufacturer's Title through the victory by Pierre Kleinubing.

In the Grand Am Cup Acura's Bill Fenton Motorsports and the fleet of HRPWorld.com - King Motorsports racers have delivered a strong one-two punch that has been to strong for the competition to overcome in 2002. Fenton Motorsports has taken home five wins while HRPWorld.com has added three wins and twelve podiums in the first nine races of the Grand Am Cup.

"The whole team is very proud to be a part of delivering Acura this title," commented Will Nonnamaker, who took the STII Championship last season. "Acura builds a very well engineered car. That is what makes the difference in these long endurance events. We are looking forward to returning in 2003 to defend Acura's title."

Currently, Acura still is in the running for the Grand-Am Cup ST I Championships. The final event next week at Daytona will determine Acura's final season tally.
