With five hours complete, the Rolex 24 At Daytona enters the night portion of the sportscar endurance competition with the No. 16 Dyson Racing Ford R&S and driver James Weaver atop the leaderboard both overall and in the SportsRacer Prototype class.

In SportsRacer Prototype II, the No. 89 Porsche Haus Racing Nissan Lola and drivers Bob Woodman, Robert Julien, Bruno St. Jacques and Greg Pootmans stand first in class and ninth overall. In the GTS battle, the No. 2 Corvette Racing C5-R is leading the class and stands sixth overall with Franck Feron currently behind the wheel.

The No. 3 Corvette Racing C5-R, which ran out of gas and lost some time, stands 11th overall and fourth in GTS. Andy Pilgrim is now behind the wheel and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is still waiting for his first driving shift.

In GT class, the No. 54 JET Motorsports BMW M3 holds the lead and stands 12th overall with drivers Boris Said, Terry Borcheller, Hans Stuck and Tony Jennings. Also in the GT class, Winston Cup star Kyle Petty, Peter Baron, Leo Hindery and Gian Luigi currently stand fifth in class and 20th overall.

Most of the AGT class competitors have encountered some trouble. The No. 96 Tropic Zone Racing Olds Cutlass leads the class and stands 49th overall.
