Daytona Beach, Florida - 20 November, 2002 - Grand American Road Racing Association announced approval of the bodywork plans for the Riley & Scott Mk 11 Daytona Prototype. The company has two cars already under construction.
"It's interesting that the era of the SportsRacing Prototype that Riley & Scott dominated for so long has just drawn to a close and now the latest Riley & Scott creation has taken another step closer to completion," Grand American President Roger Edmondson noted. "With their talent and experience, I'm sure the Mark 11 is going to be a very competitive car."
"We're glad to have our bodywork approved," remarked Bill Riley. "Now that we have that taken care of, we are ready to build cars for customers." Teams interested in learning more can reach Bill Riley at (317) 248-9470.
