DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 7, 2000) – In the third day of testing for the Feb. 5-6 Rolex 24 At Daytona, competitors got a chance to practice their rain tires under intermittent showers.

"When it was raining we went to our Good year wets and we were the fastest in that session," said James Weaver, driver of the No. 16 Dyson Ford Reynard. "Coming out of the Chicane it was a little wet, but the corners were dry."

Testing concludes tomorrow at Daytona International Speedway. The sports cars will be on the track from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fans can see all the action from the grandstands, with entry through DAYTONA USA, the "Ultimate Motorsports Attraction."

SportsRacer:

No. 36 Steffan Johansson, Judd Reynard 124.732 mph.

GTO:
