ANOTHER TOP-10 SHOWING FOR THE MAKE-A-WISH/Z-LINE DESIGNS FORD-POWERED CRAWFORD AT PHOENIX

PHOENIX, AZ (May 12, 2006) - The Grand American Series held the third qualifying race of the season earlier this evening under the lights at Phoenix International Raceway. Twenty-three Daytona Prototype machines screamed down the front straightaway and took the green flag for the 30-minute GAINSCO Grand Prix qualifying race.

Michael Valiante, driving the No.5 Make-A-Wish/Z-Line Designs machine started the race in the eighth position and ran a clean consistent contest bringing the Finlay Motorsports prepared car home in eighth position.

"We just wanted to stay out of trouble and get some points," said Michael Valiante. "I think that the key for tomorrow's race will be staying out of trouble. If we can do that we should come away with another good finish."

Other Notes: Dane Cameron, driving for Cape Motorsports captured the pole for Race #1 in the Formula Ford 2000 Series earlier today at Road Atlanta. Cameron drives the No.19 Finlay Motorsports – sponsored F2000 machine. Dane Cameron: I'm very excited. To come here with a new team and a new car and get the pole is really good. A great car always makes life a little easier! The racing should be exciting tomorrow; the top-three cars are really close in times."
