Lexus driver Scott Pruett broke the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve record Friday with a lap of 1:33.199 (104.640 mph) in the #01 Telmex Lexus for Chip Ganassi Racing to capture the pole for the Montreal 200, Round 11 of the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series.

Pruett, who captured his first pole of 2008 and 11th of his career, was six-tenths quicker than the second qualifier. He will team with Memo Rojas as the team looks for its seventh win of the 2008 season. The duo also take a 60-point championship lead into today's 74-lap event.

The green flag is scheduled to fall at 4:21 p.m., with SPEED providing same-day tape delay coverage beginning at 8 p.m. EDT tonight.
