Mont Tremblant Top Five Moves Drivers Into Seventh in Championship

Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada, May 26, 2004 -- This past weekend at Mont-Tremblant the Planet Earth Motorsports team obtained their second top five finish for the 2004 Grand American Rolex season. Planet Earth Motorsports came in fourth at the 6 Hueres du Circuit Mont-Tremblant matching the team's finish in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January. The team has been in four races so far this season, and has finished each event in the top ten. This most recent race has allowed the Planet Earth Motorsports team drivers Joe Nonnamaker and his son Will to move into seventh in the Super Grand Sport Championship.

Planet Earth Motorsports attributes their fourth place finish in this weekend's race at Mont-Tremblant to testing.

"We had a chance to test twice before the Mont Tremblant weekend," commented driver Will Nonnamaker. "We worked on set up at Beaver Run and Mid Ohio. This is only our fourth race with the Porsche GT3 Cup and we are very close to the front runners. We have another test session scheduled before the Glen and we think we can be up front at the Glen."

The team will next take to the track June 18th to June 20th for the third long endurance race of the season, a six hour race around Watkins Glen.

"Even though our team has forty seven professional wins, we have only won at Watkins Glen once," commented Joe Nonnamaker. "That win came last year and we would like to keep that streak alive this year. The track is very demanding and with little run off room, managing the Daytona Prototype traffic will be a challenge."
