Law, Donohue, and Brumos Porsche Show Promise and Speed at Rolex Grand Am 6 Heures du Mont-Tremblant
You would never know it by their 8th place overall finishing position, but Darren Law, David Donohue, Sasha Maasen and the entire Brumos squad were podium contenders for almost the entire Rolex Grand Am 6 Heures du Mont-Tremblant event. Donohue qualified the #58 Red Bull sponsored Porsche powered Brumos Fabcar a solid third, and the car led for several laps of the six hour event, held May 23rd.
"That was definitely our best race of this year," said Law immediately following the event. "David (Donohue) pulled out a terrific lap in qualifying, and we were comfortable running at or near the front of the race all afternoon. Our driver lineup with the addition of Sasha (Maasen) was very strong, and the car worked well. I had a great time in the car during my stints, and I think we really made a turnaround this race."
A late race altercation with lapped traffic on lap 173 forced Donohue, who was leading the race, to take evasive action and dropped the Brumos Porsche to 8th overall.
The entire Brumos Porsche squad next travels to Watkins Glen, New York the weekend of June 18-20 for the Sahlen's 6 Hours of the Glen. Law and Donohue will again be joined by Porsche works driver Sasha Maasen.
