The 26 MOMO NGT Motorsport Porsche is ninth after 12 hours!

After 12 hours in the 50th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the No. 26 Momo NGT Motorsport Porsche GT3 is running in 9th place. Co-drivers Henrique Cisneros, Carlos Kauffmann, Nick Tandy and Sean Edwards have done a great job so far.

The MOMO NGT Motorsport team led by Ramez Wahab continues to run fast at Daytona. The 26 car got penalized and lost a lap for a racing incident earlier in the race but the MOMO drivers are very motivated and are using all their driving skills to compete with the fastest GT cars.

Two time Indy 500 champion, Arie Luyendyk, visited the MOMO team and met with the four MOMO NGT drivers before the start of the race. Arie told Henrique Cisneros, Carlos Kauffmann, Nick Tandy and Sean Edwards to do their best to win the race in their GT class. Arie won the race overall in 1998 when he was co-driving the No. 30 MOMO 333 with MOMO founder, Gianpiero Moretti.

After 14 attempts, the late MOMO driver Gianpiero Moretti took the checkered flag in 1st place at the 1998 Rolex 24 At Daytona. This would remain his biggest racing achievement. He shared that special day with MOMO teammates Arie Luyendyk, Mauro Baldi and Didier Theys. 14 years after this Daytona MOMO racing moment that will remain one of the most popular victories in the history of the Rolex 24, MOMO made a Rolex 24 at Daytona come back today.

MOMO recently decided to sponsor a car for the 50th anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona to continue the tradition of a brand closely associated with the great history of that race.
