Mike Fitzgerald rejoins ORISON - Planet Earth Motorsports at the Homestead round of the ROLEX series. He will be driving the #43 SGS Class Porsche with co-driver Dr. Manuel Matos of Puerto Rico.

Since 2001, Mike has made several guest appearances with the Team. The results have been 3 wins, 6 podiums and a 100% finishing rate. Yet all of these races have been in the team's front wheel drive Acura Integras.

But over the last several years, Mike has become known for his amazing talents behind the wheel of Porsche race cars. This includes winning the 2000 Porsche Cup, the 2000 ROLEX Grand American GT championship, plus the 2000 and 2004 GT class at the Daytona 24 hours.

Now ORISON - Planet Earth Motorsports will be using Mike's Porsche expertise in the highly competitive SGS class.

"I am very excited to be back with the ORISON team. Their strong run in the recent three races has been very impressive in their first year of racing the GT3 Cup. Hopefully Manuel and I can add to that total at Homestead." - States Mike Fitzgerald

"Having Mike on board will be very beneficial. Not only for his great ability to drive a Porsche, but in his knowledge of how to set-up a Porsche for optimum race performance." - States Crew Chief Mike Thomas.

Manuel Matos comes to ORISON - Planet Earth Motorsports with several ROLEX Grand American races in Porsches over the past few years. All of those races came in the GT class. Homestead marks Dr. Mato's first foray into the SGS class.

"This will be my first time driving at Homestead. I am very excited as this is like a home track for me with so many family and friends living in Miami, and Puerto Rico being so close." - States Manuel Matos, "I am excited to be driving with Mike. We should have a fun weekend in the very competitive SGS class."
