FINLAY AND VALIANTE HOPE TESTING PAYS OFF AT THE EMCO GEARS CLASSIC

MOORESVILLE, NC (June 20, 2006) With six races remaining in the Grand American Rolex Series season, the drivers of the No.5 Make-A-Wish/Z-Line Designs Ford-powered Daytona Prototype know the importance of finishing races. "Every point counts from here on out," explained Rob Finlay, driver of the No.5 Finlay Motorsports entry.

"We're currently sitting fifth in the team point standings and plan on staying within the top-5. In order to do so, Michael Valiante and I know that we'll have to run good, clean races and finish well within the top-10. We spent a couple days in May testing at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and feel that we have a pretty good handle on the cars set-up for this weekend's EMCO Gears Classic."

The Mooresville, NC based team packed up the team's Ford vans and headed north for a two-day test May 23 - 24 on the beautiful 2.258-mile, 13-turn road course at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. "We have found a few gremlins in our car that have been plaguing us for a number of races," said Finlay's teammate Michael Valiante. "The test went really well and my teammate, Rob was fast so we should be towards the front of the field come race day."

The Daytona Prototypes are slated to participate in an open test on Thursday, June 22 with practice and qualifying for the weekend's 250-mile/ 111-laps/ 2-hour contest beginning on Friday, June 23. The EMCO Gears Classic kicks off on Saturday, June 24 at 5:30 p.m. and will be televised on Speed June 25th at 3:00 p.m. ET.
