Michael Shank Racing No. 60 Crown Royal XR in action at Daytona International

(Daytona Beach, FL) 8 January 2010- Michael Shank Racing announced on Friday at Daytona International Speedway that Crown Royal Extra Rare (XR)® will sponsor the No. 60 Crown Royal Extra Rare Ford-Riley for the full 2010 Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season.

Michael Shank Racing has been a stalwart in Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 competition since debuting in the 2004 running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. After winning the final race of the 2006 season, the team set a new track record with a run to pole and a front-row sweep of the 2008 Rolex 24 At Daytona grid before closing out the year with wins in the final two races of the season.

The Columbus, Ohio-based team has signed drivers John Pew and Ozz Negri as full-season pilots for the No. 60 machine, with Burt Frisselle and Mark Wilkins joining the team to share the driving duties in the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona.

"We are really happy to welcome Crown Royal Extra Rare to Michael Shank Racing this year and we have high expectations for ourselves this season," said team owner Mike Shank. "We've been improving our program every year, and we are excited to develop a partnership with a company like Diageo. We look forward to doing a good job for them and hopefully we can start things off with a strong result here in the Rolex 24."

"Crown Royal is proud to be associated with Michael Shank Racing in the Grand-Am Series," said Rob Mason, Senior Brand Manager for Crown Royal. "Michael Shank Racing has consistently succeeded in the sport and Crown Royal looks forward to building a championship-contending team in 2010."

Michael Shank Racing will debut the new colors for the No. 60 Crown Royal Extra Rare Ford-Riley at the Roar Before the 24 January 8-10, and will return to the "World Center of Racing" for the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 30.
