HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY ADDS SEATING FOR INAUGURAL GRAND-AM NEXTEL 250

MIAMI (April 28, 2000) – Spectators attending the inaugural Grand-Am Nextel 250 May 5-7 at Homestead-Miami Speedway will be able to view the action close-up from five new temporary bleachers strategically located inside the 2.4-mile infield modified road circuit.

For the first time, general admission spectators will have access to the 200-seat bleacher located inside turn one of the 11-turn circuit. A new 155-seat bleacher will be located near the entrance to turn six, the right-hand curve at the end of the lake straight. Three 54-seat bleachers will also be added, inside turn three behind the small infield lake, inside turn five, and inside the turn eight hairpin curve.

General admission ticket holders will have the option of overlooking all of the action from the unreserved 72,000-seat grandstand, or choosing any of the new infield bleachers, for no additional charge. General Admission tickets begin at $5 on Friday, $10 on Saturday, and $15 on Sunday. Spectators are also invited to see the cars close-up and meet the drivers and crew by purchasing a $20 paddock pass. Weekend grandstand/paddock tickets cost $40 if purchased in advance. Children 12 and under are free in both the grandstand, general admission areas and paddock when accompanied by a paid adult.
