North Canton, OH - ORISON Marketing - Planet Earth Motorsports announced the final selections to their 2004 ROLEX 24 of Daytona driver line-up. The two drivers will be NASCAR drivers Charlie and Paul Menard. The two cousins will join the Nonnamaker family of Joe, Wayne and Will in the five driver line-up at the team's bid for the Super Grand Sport class victory.
"We are very excited to be back with the ORISON Marketing supported team and driving with the Nonnamakers again," states Charlie Menard. "The ROLEX 24 hours is a great race at a fantastic facility. Paul and I are very proud to have Jack Link's Beef Jerky supporting our mission to win this historic race."
The two drivers are both experienced Sports Car and NASCAR drivers.
Charlie Menard drives in the NASCAR sanctioned Late Model Midwest Touring Series with support from Menards. In 2003, Charlie captured four victories, en-route to a third place finish in the year end points.
Paul Menard will be driving for Andy Petree Racing in the full 2004 NASCAR sanctioned Busch series with support from Turtle Wax, Pit Bull Energy Drink and Menards. Menard contested six NASCAR Busch Series events in 2003 with a top finish of ninth at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Menard also contested a number of ARCA races, with a win at Talladega.
"Charlie and Paul fully complete our driver line-up. I have the up most confidence that the two of them will get the job done," states Team Manager Bill Pate. "The Menard family has driven with our team off and on since 1990. It's great to continue this relationship in one of the biggest motor races in North America."
Most recently, the two cousins drove for the team at the 2002 Phoenix International Raceway round of Grand-Am Cup Sports Touring series. The pair finished third overall in the team's Acura Integra Type R.
