ROB FINLAY AND MICHAEL VALIANTE QUALIFY ON ROW 4 FOR TOMORROW'S RUNNING OF THE ROAD AND TRACK 250

MONTEREY, CA (May 6, 2006) -- The qualifying race for tomorrow's running of the Road and Track 250 took place earlier today and Rob Finlay will start from the fourth row. Finlay's teammate Michael Valiante slid behind the wheel of the No.5 Make-A- Wish/Z-Line Designs Ford-powered Crawford Daytona Prototype machine for the qualifying race and picked up five positions by lap 3.

"It's been a tough weekend," said Michael Valiante. "It's the first time that we've been here with the Crawford so it's been a bit of a learning curve. We struggled a little during the practice so we had to start thirteenth but we were able to make up a few positions in the race. We will definitely have our work cut out for us tomorrow."

Under Grand American rules, Rob Finlay will take the green flag for tomorrow's 112-lap contest because Michael Valiante qualified the car.

"I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's race," said Rob Finlay. "We've had some pretty strong finishes this season and would like to continue the success this weekend."

The 250-mile/112-lap/ 2 ¾ -hour time limit race is schedule for a 12:00 p.m. start and will be televised live on Speed at 3:00 p.m. ET.
