JMB Racing USA's rookies happy with Rolex 24 at Daytona tests!
Miramar, Florida, January 7, 2004: JMB Racing USA ended a 3-day test successfully and with high hopes for the Rolex 24 at Daytona scheduled for January 31, and February 1, 2004. The JMB Racing USA Ferrari 360 Modena was amongst the fastest GT cars every day and despite the fact that all three of the JMB Racing USA drivers were driving on the famous speedway for the very first time, they showed promising potential for the 24 hour race in three weeks.
"I am delighted that I have a chance to race my first Rolex 24 with JMB Racing USA. The team is strong and the tests were ideal to prepare the race. I know the Ferrari 360 Modena well and I like driving that type of car", declared Iradj. "I know Edi and Diego and I trust they can do a great job at Daytona. I am sure we will be surprised with Edi because she is a smart woman driver that has the desire to progress and do well. Diego is a very fast proven driver who knows the car and with them I am confident that we can have great expectations if the entire drivers' lineup does not make mistakes. After all they both finished 6th in the NGT class at the last 24 hours of Spa!" declared a relaxed Alexander from his native Switzerland home.
"I am pleased with what our three Daytona Rookies accomplished", commented co-team owner Ludovico Manfredi. "Miss Edi Gay, Iradj Alexander and Diego Alessi had mistake free tests and we are all excited about the upcoming race and hope for the best result in their first Rolex 24 at Daytona. We know that our Ferrari is reliable and combined with our experienced crew and international drivers' lineup, I am also confident that we have one of the best GT packages to do well there".
JMB Racing USA's final drivers' lineup and sponsors for the Rolex 24 at Daytona will be announced later this month.
