WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – (August 25, 2000). Jon Field, Dublin, Ohio, drove the Banana Joe's Island Party InterSport Racing Judd-powered Lola B2K/10 to an eighth-place finish in the Grand American Road Racing

Association sprint race, part of the Bosch Summerfest at The Glen Weekend, Friday night.

The race was run in complete darkness around the 3.4 mile road circuit at Watkins Glen International Raceway and shortened from 18 laps to 10 after a four-lap full course caution. "Our lights weren’t working", said Field.

"The race was run in total darkness. I just got behind EFR (Elliott-Forbes Robinson, Dyson Racing) and followed him around."

The finishing order set the grid for Sunday's Six Hours at the Glen, which gets underway at 11:00 am. In that race, the finale of the 2000 Grand American Road Racing Association’s inaugural season, Field will co-drive with Oliver Gavin, Northampton, England.
