MOORESVILLE, NC (March 20, 2007) - The Daytona Prototype team of Finlay Motorsports spent several days testing at the 2.3-mile, 11-turn Homestead-Miami Speedway road course during the off season. The team completed a successful two-day test back in October, logging approximately 560 miles and returned to the Southern Florida facility again in early December participating in the Grand American Rolex Series open test.

The series open test found the driving duo of Rob Finlay and Michael Valiante at the top of the charts at the close of the two-day test. Valiante turned the fastest lap of the test with a lap of 1:13.884, good enough for last year's pole position held by the 23 car of Alex Job Racing.

"We had two great test sessions at Homestead during the winter," explained Rob Finlay. "We've struggled a bit since then not getting the results we hoped for in Mexico City but we're looking forward to going back to Florida and hopefully coming away with another top-five result."

The Mooresville, NC - based team scored an impressive top-five finish at last year's running of the Grand Prix of Miami and hope to turn their season around this weekend.

"We've run well at Homestead in the past," said Michael Valiante. "We scored our first top-five result there last season and hope to continue that success on Saturday. "
